The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks is accepting applications for staff at Rocky Point, Miami Beach and Oregon Ridge beaches and theLoch Raven Fishing Center. Duties: To safeguard swimmers and/or park patrons, alerting them to conditions of weather, tide, underwater hazards and swimming area limits; to maintain and enforce beach, and/or park safety rules and regulations; to perform operations necessary to keep beach and/or park in safe condition; to see that structures, areas and equipment are in safe, useable condition; to perform routine tasks as directed.
Qualifications: American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR Certification (or equivalent) required; knowledge of basic first-aid practices and procedures. One year experience preferred. Minimum age 16.
Education: Preferably, one year of college.
Rate of Pay: Per hour. $11.26 to $12.66. Full-time Guards will work a 40-hour work week schedule. Part-time Guards will be required to work a flexible schedule. All guards work weekends/holidays as needed from, mid-May to mid-September.

Duties: To collect required admissions; to keep accurate records; to keep all monies in a safe, secure area; to maintain an adequate inventory supply of season passes; to safeguard park patrons alerting them to conditions of weather; to perform routine tasks related to park operation as directed.

Duties: To oversee the use of the facility assigned; to see that users conduct themselves in a proper manner; to prevent vandalism to the facility and its equipment; to report all dangerous conditions for correction; to perform cleaning and light maintenance duties as required.

Duties: Under direct supervision of the Fishing CenterManager and/or Assistant Manager: to attend to the needs of the Fishing center patrons; to assist patrons with location and safe use of rental boats and motors; to encourage the proper use of trash receptacles and toilet facilities; to maintain Fishing Center facilities in a safe, sanitary and attractive condition; to prepare rental boats and equipment for use if patrons, including carrying 12 volt batteries; to do painting, repair and light groundskeeping at the Fishing Center as directed; and to do other related work as required.
Qualificatioins: Preferably, knowledge of State and local boating and fishing rules and regulations; CPR certification; water safety knowledge; ability to interact with people in a helpful, courteous manner is required; must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Experience: Individuals with some knowledge of boating/fishing procedures and practices will receive special consideration.
Education: Preferably, graduation from High School.
Rate of Pay: Per Hour. $6.72 - $7.35
