Calendars of Events

Marshy Point Nature Center publishes its seasonal calendar of events.  Here you may download a PDF version of this newsletter. Take a look at all of them to see the kinds of programs that we have throughout the year.

Fall 2011 4th Annual Fall Festival - Saturday, September 24, 2011 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Turtle races, tree hugging, apple cider pressing, food, music and more. Canoe and boat rides available too (weather and tide permitting). Free admission and parking.

Fall 2011 Calendar (PDF) Participate in bird hikes, autumn walks, nature crafts, speaker series and more this fall at Marshy Point Nature Center.

Annual Popsicle Plunge (PDF) The 5th Annual Popsicle Plunge has activities and games for all ages. Proceeds to benefit the Marshy Point Nature Center Council.

Winter 2010-2011 Calendar (PDF) Bird feeder projects, owl prowl, movie night, speaker series, maple sugaring activities and more to participate in this winter at Marshy Point Nature Center.

Weekend Programs

Weekend programs for the public are provided to enjoy the seasonal changes and abundant wildlife in this unspoiled setting on the Chesapeake Bay.

Monthly Lecture Series

The Nature Center Council provides a monthly lecture series featuring photographers, authors, scientists and watermen to share their insights about the Bay. Lectures are held at 7:30 p.m., the third Tuesday each month (no meetings July or August).

Summer Camp

The Marshy Point Nature Center will be holding its yearly summer camp for children entering grades 5 and 6 in 2011. Here the children will participate in activities such as weather study, hikes, canoe exploration, and more. Contact the center office for registration information.
