Nature and Recreation Resources
The Nature and Recreation Resources Area was developed in January 2009. This section manages five nature and historical facilities located throughout Baltimore County. The programming at these sites includes but not limited to; interpretative, environmental, nature, archaeology, gardening, trails, historical, canoeing, Fall and Spring Festivals, and Market Days. Each site is staffed with naturalists and/or historians to provide specialized programs that focus on the varying assets of each park.

In addition, this area also works in partnership with Baltimore County Police Department to help with programming implemented in the nine Police Athletic League Centers also located throughout the County. The Summer Program for Teenagers, Farm Day, NFL Punt Pass and Kick, MLB Pitch Hit and Run, and PAL Spelling Bee are examples of programs that are implemented as part of this partnership.
