Baltimore County Police Athletic League (PAL) centers provide a safe, positive and developing atmosphere for youth ages eight to 17. Through a variety of programs offered at each center, our focus is on helping youth develop various aspects of their lives including, but not limited to academics, athletics, social interaction, nutrition, life skills, the arts and community service.
The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks PAL Centers are after school and summer drop-in programs that are designed to meet the needs of registered PAL members between the ages of eight to 17. A variety of fun as well as enriching programs are scheduled daily. The programs help to develop strength of character, respect toward others and the community, affirmative behavior and camaraderie with peers.
PAL creates a safe atmosphere where youth can be exposed to athletics, creative activities and enrichment programs. Programs are supervised by PAL Coordinators, PAL Leaders, and includes police and community volunteer involvement, working together to provide positive role models for the members.
Membership and Participation
Free membership is open to all residents of Baltimore County between the ages of eight and 17. An annual registration is required and must be signed by a parent or guardian. A registration form may be obtained at your local PAL center.
Board of Directors
A volunteer Board consisting of men and women from the business community, non-profit and government sectors governs the Police Athletic League. The Board oversees fundraising for the program to try to provide sufficient funding to support the program.
