Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan

The Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) serves as the advisory master plan for the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks. The LPPRP outlines the County’s recreation, parks, and open space policies, goals, objectives and priorities.

2012 LPPRP Status

The Department of Recreation and Parks hosted a public meeting on Monday, November 21, 2011 to provide interested citizens with the opportunity to provide input on Baltimore County's proposed 2012 LPPRP. The input provided at the public meeting, combined with that offered by Department staff, contributed to the formulation of the County's draft LPPRP. The draft plan was prepared in 2012 and has been sent to the Maryland Departments of Natural Resources and Planning for review and comments. The public is likewise welcome to review and comment on the draft LPPRP, which is provided in PDF format below. Please address all comments to lpprp@baltimorecountymd.gov no later than March 31, 2013.
