Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan

The Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) serves as the advisory master plan for the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks. The LPPRP outlines the County's recreation, parks and open space policies, goals, objectives and priorities. The present LPPRP serves as an update to the 2005 to 2006 Baltimore County LPPRP, with much of the plan's content carrying over from the prior plan. New information in the present plan includes reports on the goals, objectives and priorities stated in the 2005 to 2006 LPPRP; updated goals and objectives; updated parkland and recreational facilities needs analyses; and revised recreation and parks capital projects priorities.

LPPRP Status

The process for adopting the LPPRP update as a Master Plan 2020 addendum has begun, with the Baltimore County Planning Board approving the plan on November 20, 2014. The Baltimore County Council will host a public hearing on the plan in January of 2015 as part of the plan adoption process. The exact date is to be decided. Please refer to the Baltimore County Council's schedule.
