Rules and Regulations for Rocky Point Beach and Park

1. Swimming allowed only from guarded beach area during posted hours.

2. Glass containers are prohibited.

3. Children under 12 years of age are to accompanied by an adult while on the beach/waterfront.

4. No throwing sand, mud, rocks, etc.

5. Motor Vehicles allowed only in designated parking areas. Speed limit is 10 MPH.

6. Report all accidents and injuries to the lifeguard of first aid room.

7. Crab shells must be removed from the premises. Place all other trash in receptacles

8. Dump charcoal in red cans only.

9. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the park closing time is 7 p.m. All other times park closing time is dusk (sunset).

10. No rain checks/refunds will be issued.

11. Unruly behavior, as determined by beach staff, may result in expulsion from the park.

12. Amplified music is prohibited without a permit.

13. No pets allowed, except those that are assisting the sight impaired or handicapped.

14. Beer and wine is allowed only in designated areas with appropriate permit approved by park office. No hard liquor is permitted. Approval must be obtained at least 10 days prior to event.

15. All groups are to have a minimum of one adult per seven children at all times.

16. Pavilions, tent and groves are available by advanced reservations. If these are not booked, they become first come first serve.

17. Groups of 20 or more are encouraged to reserve in advance for a group permit.

18. No fishing is permitted in beach areas.

19. Camp Rule- Staff must stay with group while in the water. The buddy system must be set up in advance.

20. Caterers must clean up after their event. If the caterer does not stay to the completion, the group is then responsible.

21. Boat launching and/or landing, to enter the park, is prohibited.

22. Inner tubes, inflatable swimming aids, and beach balls shall be prohibited in the swimming area. Masks, fins, and snorkel equipment will also be prohibited. Only approved U.S.C.G. Personal Floatation Devices will be permitted.
