How To Reserve An Area At Rocky Point Park

Many Areas For Your Next Picnic (PDF)

Boasting a 300' beach, eighteen picnic areas including; a large 40' x 60' beach front pavilion, a smaller pavilion, a 20' x 30' tent and several shaded groves as well as two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, fishing pier, two (2) boat ramps, bathhouse and first aid station, Rocky Point Park is a popular destination for family reunions, church and company picnics, playdays, birthday parties and many other fun filled gatherings. 

Call Our Offices First

While no reservations are taken over the phone, the first step to reserving your area should be to contact our office at 410-887-3873 to verify that the area you are requesting is both appropriate and available for your affair.

Deposit Required

In order to reserve a pavilion, tent or picnic grove you are required to place a deposit of at least 50% of the established fee for the area in which you are interested.  This deposit should be in the form of check or money order payable to Baltimore County, Maryland .  Deposits may be made in person at our offices or mailed to 105 West Chesapeake Avenue, Towson, MD 21204.

Mail-In Reservations

If you decide to mail in your reservation request include with your check our Reservation Request Form (PDF)  or a note indicating:

  • The area(s) for which you are interested - see Park Map (PDF)
  • The date
  • The type of affair
  • The expected number of attendees
  • A contact individual
  • Day and evening phone numbers
  • Address

Your Permit

After our office receives your request it will be processed and a permit will be sent to you for your signature.  This permit should then be signed and returned to our office, whereupon you will receive final approval.  Should you mail a reservation request, please be advised that your reservation is not valid until you receive a signed permit from our office.

Other Parks

To reserve areas at other Baltimore County Parks you should contact the local community office.
