Rocky Point Beach and Park

Welcome to Rocky Point Beach and Park. Since 1969, Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks has owned and operated this 375-acre park. Located at the mouth of Back and Middle Rivers, it boasts an expansive view of the Chesapeake Bay, Hart-Miller Islands and Craighill Light and one of the nicest beaches on the upper Chesapeake.
The 33 acres comprising the picnic and beach areas of the park feature a 300' beach, eighteen picnic areas (PDF) including; a large 40' x 60' pavilion, a smaller pavilion, a 20' x 30' tent and several shaded groves, as well as two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, a sailing center, fishing pier , 2 boat ramps , bathhouse, first aid station and comfort station.

Swimming on The Bay
Swimming is allowed off the guarded beach Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. During the "Beach" season, the main park is open from dawn to 7p.m.
Open Daily
From Labor Day through Memorial Day weekend the park is open for fishing, boating and picnicking from dawn to dusk.
Come join the eagle, osprey and great blue heron in this tranquil setting on the bay.
