Weekend programs for the public are provided to enjoy the seasonal changes and abundant wildlife in this unspoiled setting on the Chesapeake Bay. Programs on our calendar include; Weekend Nature Programs, Canoeing Excursions, Predator/Prey Programs, Bird Indentification, Holiday Wreath Making, Holiday Crafts just for Kids.
The Nature Center Council provides a monthly lecture series featuring photographers, authors, scientists and watermen to share their insights about the Bay. Lectures are held at 7:30 p.m., the third Tuesday each month (no meetings July or August).
The Marshy Point Nature Center will be holding its yearly summer camp for children entering grades 5 and 6 2007. Here the children will participate in activities such as weather study, hikes, canoe exploration, and more.
Special Events include Earth Day, Annual Fish Fry, Holiday Celebration, Canoe Trips and Chesapeake Bay Mariners' Swap and Sale.
