Commission on Arts and Sciences Grants Grants are awarded for operating expenses to larger institutions that greatly impact the citizens of Baltimore County and to smaller organizations for a specific project that improves the cultural quality of life in the area. Forty operating grants and thirty-six project grants were awarded in FY08. Project Grant requests should be $5,000 or less. Operational Grant requests should be in excess of $5,000. Endowments Endowments are awarded by the County Executive for Capital Projects and funded through the commission. Operating Grant awards for FY09 will be announced in August 2008.
