Recreation and Parks Budget

The Department of Recreation and Parks has an annual budget (PDF) of over $12 million. These Baltimore County dollars are used for personnel, utilities, park maintenance equipment and supplies, and other miscellaneous expenses.

In addition to these tax dollars, the 43 volunteer recreation and parks councils raise and spend over $13 million to cover direct program related expenses. The volunteer recreation councils purchase all of the programs' expendable equipment and supplies such as bats, balls, uniforms, field lining supplies.
