Pumping and Treatment Division

This Division is responsible for pumping station and treatment facility operations seven days per week, 24 hours per day. These responsibilities are broken down into two main categories:

Operations

  • Maintain and operate all pumps, valves, air compressors, chlorinating devices, metering instrumentation and engines in water and sewer treatment plants.
  • Perform round-the-clock preventive maintenance to pumping station electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Operate water and wastewater treatment plants in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Perform inspections of pumping stations.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance of grinder pumps in certain areas of the County.
