Collection:  Trash, Recycling, and Yard Materials

The Collection Division is responsible for the management of the collection of residential trash, recycling, and yard materials.  This division oversees Baltimore County's 48 private trash/recycling collectors.

Get connected to Baltimore County's Recycling Program.  View and/or download your collection schedule, submit a request or complaint regarding your trash and recycling collection, view our collection program guide, and more.

Yard Material Collection
Baltimore County collects yard materials from most households April through mid-December.  The collection of yard materials is denoted by a "Y" on your trash and recycling collection schedule. 

Recycling Collection
Baltimore County collects paper and bottles & cans through the curbside collection program.  This is denoted by either a "P" or a "B" on your trash and recycling collection schedule.

Troubleshooting
Was your trash, recycling or yard materials not collected?  There are many possible reasons why your materials may not have been collected.
