Severe Weather Status: Trash and RecyclingFebruary 5, 2016 7:49 PM
Current Status: Trash and Recycling Collection
Most scheduled trash and recycling collections are running normally. Starting Monday, February 8, residents with alley collection should resume placing their material in the alley (not at the front curb). Alley collection will be occurring where and when conditions permit – leave materials out until collection occurs.
Current Status: Drop-Off Centers
All three County drop-off centers, including the Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh, are open with normal operating hours.
What to Expect in Severe Weather
In bad weather, trash and recycling collection may not occur at the "usual" time, or even on the scheduled day. In cases of inclement weather, check this page or the County's severe weather page for collection status updates. You may also call our 24-hour customer service message system at 410-887-2000.
If your trash or recycling collection does not occur on its scheduled day due to weather related issues, residents' drop-off facilities may be open for you to take your materials rather than wait for the next scheduled pick-up. Please check this page or call 410-887-2000 before visiting any of the drop-off facilities, as they may also be closed in times of extreme weather conditions.
