Professional Service Projects to be Assigned

In the near future, the Professional Services Selection committee will recommend a consulting assignment for the following projects.

Title: County-Wide On-Call Sanitary Sewer Flow Monitoring Services
Project Number: 2009-01 (PDF)  Addendum No. 1 (PDF)
Description: Professional services are required to provide wastewater flow monitoring services in accordance with the guidelines established in the Consent Decree between the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Maryland Department of Environmental and Baltimore County. The area of Baltimore County to be monitored includes over 4.2 million feel of sanitary sewer and 90 pumping stations. Up to 250 flow monitors total will be installed throughout the study area.

Title: Owings Mills Boulevard - Winands Road to Liberty Road
Project Number: 2009-02 (PDF) Addendum No. 1 (PDF) Drawings (PDF)
Description: Professional services are required for the final design of Owings Mills Boulevard from Winands Road to Liberty Road for length of approximately  4200 feet (0.80 miles). Preliminary (50%) construction plans have been prepared and will be available in Autocad format. The requested design services will include surveying, property mosaics, right of way plats, roadway design, storm drainage design, structural design including retaining walls and a 250 foot bridge over Scotts Level Branch, final design of storm water management facilities, local environmental permitting, SHA coordination for work along Liberty Road, and the POS conversion process for Wildwood Park.

Title: Minor Bridge Inspection Program Services
Project Number: 2009-03 (PDF)
Description: Professional services are required for the routine condition inspection and preparation of inspection reports for approximately 210 bridge structures located throughout Baltimore County. These structures are in the County's Minor Bridge Inventory and are generally under 20 feet in length. Most of these structures have been previously inspected, electronic scanned files (*.PDF) of the previous inspection reports will be available to the successful firm prior to beginning the work.

Title: County-Wide On-Call Watershed Management Planning Services
Project Number: 2009-04 (PDF)
Description: On-call professional services are required to assist Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Resource Management (DEPRM) in the development of Small Watershed Action Plans to address water quality impairments. The plan development approach may involve upland and stream based assessments of pollution sources and restoration opportunities, compilation of existing water quality related information, and working with a stakeholder group to develop goals and objectives.

Title: On-Call Traffic Engineering Services
Project Number: 2009-05 (PDF)
Description: Professional services are required to perform traffic engineering design services and traffic engineering related studies county-wide. These tasks may involve preliminary studies/concept plans and/or final construction plans to be inserted into design plans for a highway or bridge project by others or to be done by one of the county's on-call contractors. The types of tasks may involve bur are not limited to: minor geometric designs, roundabout designs, traffic signal design, traffic impact studies, origin/destination studies, speed studies, data collection (manual and automated)/reduction, development of maintenance of traffic plans and other traffic engineering tasks.

Title: On-Call Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and Consultation
Project Number: 2009-06 (PDF)
Description: Professional engineering services are required by the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks on an as needed basis to perform various electrical/mechanical design, engineering and consultation tasks, especially those related to outdoor and sports lighting, throughout the County.
