Welcome to the Department of Public Works

Owings Mills Boulevard Extention

A project to extend Owings Mills Boulevard south from Lyons Mill Road to Liberty Road is currently underway. Baltimore County is currently working with community groups, Maryland Department of Environment and the Army Corps of Engineers to provide an important link between the County’s Owings Mills Growth Area and the Liberty Road Revitalization District, and should help manage anticipated traffic in the coming decades.

State and local authorities will hold a public meeting to explain and discuss the road alignment on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the New Town Elementary School.

We have provided details of the area (PDF) under discussion.
