This charge, established in 1964, is to furnish funds for debt service of Metropolitan Bonds issued for financing of capital expenditures for major facilities such as pumping stations, transmission mains and storage facilities. The charge is determined by the size of the meter servicing the property. The minimum charge is $84.94 as of July 1, 2008. Levy of the annual charge is predicated upon the date of application and not the actual installation of the meter. This charge is an annual user charge and is not extinguishable. The charge is removed only upon notification by Baltimore City that a meter has been abandoned. Revised June 13, 2008 |
