Other Charges

All properties in Baltimore County abutting sewer and/or water mains, or deriving benefit from such utilities in any manner, are subject to one or more of the following charges:

• Water and Sewer Benefit Assessments
• Water Distribution Charges
• Sewer Service Charges
• Other Metro District Charges

These charges are billed annually and are required to be paid with the property taxes. These charges constitute a lien against the property, assumable by subsequent property owners.  Extinguishment of these charges is not required to transfer title. However, extinguishment of certain charges may be required if the property is subdivided into four (4) or more new lots.
