Engineering Records - Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  How do I find out where the sewer and water mains are located?
A.   Baltimore County stores the records of all publicly maintained water and sewer pipes located in the County's right of way. The drawings of county maintained utilities are housed in the Engineering Records office and can be viewed or purchased for a nominal fee. The office is located in the County Office Building, 111 W. Chesapeake Avenue, Room 206 in Towson. Any water and sewer pipes located on private property, unless in the County's right of way, would not be kept by Baltimore County.
