Gores Mill Road Bridges

The concrete bridges, which span Little Falls just south of the Morris Meadows Recreation Farm, were constructed more than 80 years ago and three of the four have reached the end of their useful life. One can be rehabilitated. Bridges B-0136, B-0138 and B-0346 are scheduled for replacement and new structures are currently being designed. Construction is anticipated for the summer of 2015. Bridge B-0137, immediately adjacent to Bridge B-0138, will be widened for traffic safety. Both Federal and County funds are being used on this $2.6 million project.

The acquisition of necessary rights-of-way began in June.
