Function

Baltimore County operates an enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS). GIS is a tool that displays and analyzes map themes to obtain more information about a feature. For information on the mapping of Department of Public Works facilities or information about digital topographic or orthophotographic data layers available to consultants involved with design of County Capital projects please e-mail at dgabbert@baltimorecountymd.gov.

The County's enterprise GIS is managed in the Office of Information Technology's Business Application Unit. General GIS information and other data are available through the Office of Information Technology's GIS System.
