Chesapeake Avenue, Towson.  Walk thru of the site to follow.  A second walk thru of the site will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 10 am local time.  See below.   A third walkthru of the site will be conducted on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 10 am local time for the purpose of the contractors to make an evaluation as to the condition of the building.

Building Inspection:  All contractors must attend one of the mandatory scheduled interior and exterior building inspections before the scheduled bid opening.  There will be a sign in sheet to document attendance.  Subcontractors are encouraged to attend as well as the bidding contractor.

There is lead paint dust in the building.  Protective shoe covers will be provided for the building inspection.  The lights are not working in the building.  Contractors shall bring flashlights to the inspection.

Construction Standards:  The building to be stabilized is on the Baltimore County Landmarks list as Baltimore County Jail (1854 portion).  The Landmarks Preservation Commission has approved this stabilization project.  The exterior work must meet the requirements of the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties and Standards for Rehabilitation.
