General Contract Information - Invitations To Bid

Following are instructions and procedures to bid on county contracts. Direct any questions to 410-887-3461.

  • Contract documents may be inspected and purchased on or after the date available from:

  • All checks should be made payable to BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD.  No refunds will be made.
  • Contractors prequalification must be approved by Baltimore County DPW at least ten (10) days prior to the bid opening.
  • The list of prequalified contractors (PDF), prequalified minority contractors (PDF) and work classifications (PDF) are available on request.
  • Sealed proposals for this contract will be accepted from pre-qualified bidders until the time specified on the contract, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.  Proposals should be addressed to Baltimore County, Maryland and should be mailed to:

  • All proposal books (complete book required) must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, on the approved form provided, in the amount as set forth in the "Information for Bidders". No other form of proposal guaranty is acceptable.
  • The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or bids or parts of bids and to waive technicalities as may be deemed best for the interest of the County.
