Occasionally, Baltimore County sells and auctions items no longer used by general government agencies. This includes office furniture, commercial cleaning equipment, automotive parts and equipment, as well as dump trucks, construction equipment and other items.
The sale of surplus furniture and equipment no longer used by general county agencies is held at the Glen Arm Facility, 12200 A Long Green Pike. The sale is one day only, usually about 2 or 3 times per year.
Rules and Regulations
- All sales are final. Items are sold in “as is” condition.
- Some equipment is only good for parts.
- Payment by cash or check made payable to Baltimore County, Maryland.
- No pre-inspection or pre-tagging.
- County employees must use leave time to attend the sale during work hours.
Used dump trucks, front end loaders, backhoes, fire engines, ambulances and other miscellaneous equipment is sold at public auction. They are conducted at Bel Air Auto Auction, Clayton Station location, 1300 Business Center Way, just off Pulaski Highway east of Rout 152. These items are normally sold at the 'once a month' combined utility/government auctions.
