Abandoned Auto Team

The Abandoned Auto Team is responsible for the initial investigation, follow-up, and removal of all vehicles abandoned on public property.   The team investigates over 400 calls per month. 

An Abandoned Vehicle is defined as a vehicle parked on a public roadway or private property that:

  1. Is visibly inoperable or;
  2. Is not displaying current, valid registration or;
  3. Is illegally parked for more than 48 hrs.

To initially report an Abandoned Vehicle contact the Police Department's non-emergency number at 410-887-2222.
