The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle, raising $30 million for Special Olympics Programs around the world in 2007.
The 2008 Torch Run in Baltimore County will be held on Wednesday, June 4.
Last year, approximately 80 Baltimore County Police Officers participated and raised $4,300. The three mile course starts at Harford Hills Elementary School and ends at the Public Safety Building.
