Hello Fellow Citizens:
The Police Community Relations Council, Inc. is an important component of the law enforcement community team whose mission to the citizens of Baltimore County and specifically the Eighth Precinct, is a safe and more secure community environment. The Police and Community Relations Council, Inc. meets regularly to provide an opportunity for citizens to meet with their Precinct Commander and other attending police personnel. Our meetings are an ideal way for the Police Department to assist the community, as well as provide a forum where citizens can express neighborhood issues to the Police Department that may require intervention. Our meetings also allow the police department to inform community members of departmental programs and enlist their assistance in crime prevention projects. The Council is also responsible for recognizing the law enforcement achievements of our officers in the precinct on a yearly and monthly basis. The Council also coordinates fundraisers and seeks grants in accordance with our by-laws, provides financial resources for scientific studies, the general welfare of the community and police initiatives to improve law enforcement in our community. With all these important functions, increased participation in the Police and Community Relations Council, Inc. is an important goal that we must strive to achieve.
You interest and participation is needed to assure the continued success of this very worthy partnership. Becoming active and informed is a great way to help protect the quality of life that we have come to enjoy in our community. We look forward to seeing you at our October meeting.
