Fax: 410-668-3019 Precinct Community Outreach Team members are assigned at the discretion of the precinct commanders and perform the following duties: - Serve as proactive resources in identifying, stabilizing and resolving community fear and disorder using the problem-solving process.
- Develop and execute strategies that promote crime prevention.
- Promote and maintain police/community cooperation and communication.
- Support the community problem solving efforts of Patrol Units, Investigative Service Teams (IST) and Community Drug and Violence Interdiction Teams (CDVIT).
- Work with local youth through such programs as the Police Athletic League and Explorers.
- Assist in the investigations of bias incidents.
- Guide and assist local Citizens on Patrol groups.
