Precinct 08 Business Patrol Initiative (BPI)

Business Patrol Initiative (BPI) Officers are:

  • Assigned at the discretion of the precinct commander.
  • Provide concentrated and intensive services to high crime business communities along major commercial arteries.
  • Receive specialized training which may include business related law enforcement, crime prevention and problem solving.
  • Monitor crime data and trends relative to their post and report findings to the precinct commander.

Currently Precinct Eight has three officers who are focusing their patrol efforts on the business areas of Parkville.

How We Can Help Your Business

The Precinct Eight BPI Officers offer several crime prevention programs for businesses: 

  1. Commercial Security and Safety
  2. Employee Theft and Shoplifting Prevention
  3. Robbery Prevention
  4. Burglary Prevention

Night Card Information Needed

Every day and night officers from the Parkville Precinct respond to calls for service to businesses that are currently closed.  Many times these officers need to contact a representative of the business for additional information related to these calls for service.  Did you know that the Parkville Precinct maintains a list of all businesses in the Parkville area and their 24-hour contact information.  Please contact us immediately to update your Night Card Contact Information.  This information is critical to the safety and security of your business.
