Police Officers are often called upon to respond to many types of emergencies involving small children. These calls range from missing children to medical emergencies. In many instances the parents are unable to provide the very valuable information about the child that a police officer needs to handle the incident. In some cases the parent does not have or remember valuable medical information regarding the child or, in many cases, the parent or guardian is just too emotionally upset to provide the information.
The Baltimore County Police Wilkens Community Outreach has developed a Child Emergency I.D. Card that parents and guardians can fill out and store in a safe place in the event of an emergency. Please take the time to print out the below card and complete all the important information on it, then store the card in a safe place where it can be quickly obtained should an emergency situation arise involving your child. The card will be very valuable by providing responding police and medical personal with information about your child.
Take a very close-up, clear photo of your child and attach it to the face of the card in the box marked "photo". Use a black ink pad and place your child's right thumb print in the box marked "Thumbprint". Fill out the information in reference to your child. The card can be updated with new information and photos.
