Almost every day the police department distributes news releases to the media about crime trends, wanted criminals, crime prevention activities and department initiatives. These news releases are posted on this page. You can also subscribe to have these news releases sent directly to your e-mail inbox free of charge. These releases provide the most immediate information available to the public from the police department. 

10/10/2008 - Rapist Sought in Precinct 6/Towson
A rape that took place on Knollwood Road in Precinct 6/Towson is being investigated. The woman was attacked when she was unloading groceries outside her apartment on October 6.
10/09/2008 - Two Customers Robbed at Wachovia ATM
A suspect armed with a handgun is being sought for robbing two people at an ATM. The crime occurred at Wachovia Bank on N. Rolling Road in Precinct 1/Wilkens on August 20.
10/08/2008 - Police Report October 2008
The next program will highlight the Gun Squad, and missing and exploited children investigations. Police Report is now available online, to watch on your own computer, on your own schedule.
10/08/2008 - Arrests Made in Sign Defacement at Synagogues
Three suspects have been arrested for the destruction of two signs at different synagogue locations. One suspect is a congregation member.
10/06/2008 - Woman Sought in Identity Theft Cases
A female suspect is being sought in three separate identity thefts in which she has withdrawn money from several banks.
10/06/2008 - Awards Ceremony Scheduled
An awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 7 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Theatre of the Community College of Baltimore County, Dundalk Campus, 7200 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, Md. 21222.
10/03/2008 - Traffic Congestion Expected in Hunt Valley
Residents and others are advised that due to a golf tournament there will be traffic delays along Shawan Road and Mays Chapel Road from October 6-12.
10/02/2008 - Bank Robber Strikes Again
An arrest warrant has been obtained for William Michael Miller for robbing three banks since last week. He was identified shortly after news coverage about these crimes and is still being sought by police.

Travelers should take note of the streets that will be closed in the Towson area for Saturday's Parade of Gold.
10/01/2008 - Man Found Badly Beaten Dies From Injuries
Eddie Alonso Stewart has been identified as the man found badly beaten on Alberge Lane in Precinct 11/Essex on September 24. He died yesterday afternoon as a result of his injuries and police are investigating his death.
09/30/2008 - Bank Robber Hits Twice in One Week
A suspect is being sought for robbing Provident Bank and First Mariner Bank last week.
09/26/2008 - Walk Your Child to School Day
The Baltimore County Police Department will celebrate International Walk-to-School Day on October 6. Officers will greet and walk with students from Middlesex Elementary School to emphasize the importance of safe walking habits.
09/24/2008 - 7-11 Hit Twice by Robber
A suspect is being sought for robbing the same 7-11 on Philadelphia Road twice in September.
09/23/2008 - Public Safety Day
You are invited to attend the 4th Annual Public Safety Day on October 11 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Security Square Mall. The event is free and open to the public.
09/23/2008 - Northwest Savings Bank is Robbed
A suspect is being sought in the robbery of Northwest Savings Bank on Maiden Choice Lane in Precinct 1/Wilkens on August 28.
