These news releases are posted on this page. You can also subscribe to have these news releases sent directly to your e-mail inbox free of charge. These releases provide the most immediate information available to the public from the police department. 

03/19/2010 - Suspect Sought in Attempted Murder
Information is being sought in a shooting that occurred on Oak Grove Drive in Precinct 11/Essex early this morning. Detectives have no motive or description of the suspect at this time.
03/18/2010 - Man Found in Burning Car is Identified
John David Metcalf has been identified as the man found inside a burning car on Black Rock Road in Precinct 3/Franklin on March 12.
03/18/2010 - Arrest Made in Perez-Soto Murder
Jose Isabel Posada has been arrested in the murder of Vicente Perez-Soto on Williamson Lane in Precinct 7/Cockeysville on March 10.
03/17/2010 - Reward for Information in Disappearance of Cherice Ragins
The reward for information to locate Cherice Ragins has been increased up to $4,500 through Metro Crime Stoppers. Ms. Ragins, 24 years old, was last seen on February 21 in the Precinct 2/Woodlawn area.
03/16/2010 - Boyfriend Arrested in Jerryell Foster's Murder
Frederick Allen Christian has been arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, Jerryell Foster. Ms. Foster had been missing since November 25. Her body was found in Virginia on March 2.
03/16/2010 - Man's Death is Ruled a Homicide
Vicente Perez-Soto has been identified as the man found dead on Williamson Lane in Precinct 7/Cockeysville on March 10. An autopsy has determined that the manner of his death is homicide.
03/10/2010 - St. Patrick's Day - Don't Drink and Drive
The Baltimore County Police Department is reminding the public to drive safely this St. Patrick's Day. Officers will be on the lookout for anyone driving under the influence.
03/10/2010 - Six Arrested in Murder at Hess Gas Station
Six suspects have been arrested and charged in the murder of William Porter at the Hess gas station in Precinct 6/Towson on March 1. Photos of the suspects have been released.
03/08/2010 - Next Meeting for Scrap Metal Working Group
On March 26 the Baltimore County Scrap Metal Working Group will hold another public meeting to discuss implementation of the County's new scrap metal law.
03/08/2010 - Crime Rate Down Across County
County Executive Smith announced impressive drops in serious crimes at a news conference today. Baltimore County Police Chief Johnson and State's Attorney Shellenberger were by his side to discuss the decrease in crime in 2009 compared to crime of 2008.
03/05/2010 - Reward in Murder at Hess Station Increased
Hess Corp. has donated an additional $8,000 for information that leads to the identity and arrest of the suspect in the murder of William Porter on March 1. The total reward is now up to $10,000.
03/04/2010 - PAL Gets Big Donation
The Baltimore County Police Athletic League (PAL) members will receive $25,000 from St. John Properties and Baltimore Crossroads @95.
03/03/2010 - Cherice Maria Ragins Missing
Your help is needed to find Cherice Maria Ragins who has not been seen since February 21 from the Route 40 and Rolling Road area.
03/03/2010 - Police Report March 2010
The next edition of Police Report will highlight the role of Metro Crime Stoppers, Precinct 12/North Point, and the implementation and locations of speed cameras. Police Report is available online, to watch on your own computer, on your own schedule.
03/02/2010 - Man Shot at Gas Station Dies
William Raymond Porter has been identified as the man who was shot at the Hess gas station on Joppa Road in Precinct 6/Towson yesterday. He succumbed to his injuries this morning at Shock Trauma.
