Homeland Security Division

The Baltimore County Police Department's Homeland Security Division urges every household and business to assist in the prevention of terrorism and have an emergency preparedness plan in place should a disaster strike. An alert and educated citizenry is critical to our homeland security and emergency preparedness efforts. The following web sites provide important information on how to report suspicious persons or activities, how to best prepare for disasters, and the many resources available to the general public.

Baltimore County Government - Emergency Preparedness Section

Provides information on topics including emergency preparedness, the "Neighbors helping Neighbors" program, and the county's Emergency Operations Plan.

The Department of Homeland Security Ready America Program

Provides preparedness information for all types of man made and natural disasters.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency

Provides educational information on all types of disasters and hazards and how to plan for and recover from disasters.

The Department of Homeland Security

Provides information about the Federal Department of Homeland Security and specific information on topics such as prevention and protection, preparedness and response, travel security and procedures.

United States Department of Justice - Joint Terrorism Task Force

Provides information on terrorism and resources available to communities through the FBI.
