Offers crisis intervention, case management, legal advocacy, shelter, individual and group therapy for victims and their children, and abuser treatment services

Provides long term safe shelter (up to 90 days), transitional house (12 months), victims advocacy and support groups, court accompaniment, lawyer representation, perpetrators services, anger management for adults and children, individual and family psychotherapy, trauma group therapy.

Prepares for trial of criminal cases involving domestic violence.

Reports concerning the behavior of domestic violence offenders released to Parole / Probation supervision can be made to a victim advocate.

Temporary Protective Order Interim Order
Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Go to the District or Circuit Court, ask the Civil Clerk's desk for Petition of Protection (if in Circuit Court , see POARP below). After business hours, weekends, and holidays go to the Court Commissioner to get an Interim Order. The Commissioner will inform you of the date / location of your second hearing.

Emergency walk-in legal clinic for victims of domestic violence is located in Circuit Court.  Provides free Protective Order legal advice and representation.

To Request Court Accompaniment For Criminal Cases
A court advocate may accompany you to court for a domestic violence case and introduce you to the State's Attorney and assist you in navigating the court process.
