Back River Neck Rural Legacy Area
The Back River Neck Peninsula is one of seven districts that comprise Baltimore County's Coastal Rural Legacy Area. This area is 3,819 acres and is located approximately 12 miles east of Baltimore, Maryland. It is the goal of the Coastal Rural Legacy Plan to protect large blocks of forest, wetlands, farms and other open spaces that are of significant ecological value.
Ecological Assessment Report
Baltimore County Environmental Protection and Sustainability has completed an ecological resource study. The study includes assessments of the plant community, wetlands, wildlife, shoreline, and stream conditions.
