My Neighborhood: Facilities is an Internet map service (IMS) application that allows the user to display and query map data. The application contains basemaps and thematic maps. My Neighborhood: Facilities provides access to the County's geographic information system (GIS) databases. GIS is a tool that displays and analyzes map themes to obtain more information about a feature. My Neighborhood: Facilities uses the same data contained in the County's GIS databases.
My Neighborhood: Facilities assists the user t

- analyze relationships with other features
My Neighborhood: Facilities was designed to provide citizens access to the same data used by County personnel. My Neighborhood: Facilities provides location and general information about facilities in the County. General information provided about a particular facility may include facility name, address, contact information and links to a site-specific Web site. For example, My Neighborhood: Facilities shows the location of fire stations, police stations, schools, libraries, and senior centers. Additional thematic maps will be added to My Neighborhood: Facilities as they are available.
Baltimore County government provides online access to the public information maintained in its records. The data provided through this web site is the same information available from Office of Information Technology.
