The Baltimore County Drug and Alcohol Abuse Council was formed in January 2005 by legislative mandate. Recognizing that substance abuse is one of the greatest threats to Baltimore County's families, neighborhoods, schools and communities, the council continuously develops strategies and priorities that aim to meet the substance abuse prevention and treatment needs of the County.
Dr. Gregory Branch, Acting Health Officer/Director chairs the 23 member council, which consists of local Baltimore County officials, directors, judiciary, community members and prevention and treatment providers.
