The Baltimore County Department of Health, Bureau of Behavioral Health offers various funding opportunities for community and faith-based organizations, schools, youth groups, parent groups and civic organizations. Current opportunities are listed below.
Community Tobacco Education
Community, youth and faith-based organizations are encouraged to apply for funding (PDF), up to $3,500 to conduct a tobacco education program in Baltimore County. The Department intends to disburse funding to at least 10 organizations whose proposal best meets the needs of the County.
All programs must be completed by June 30, 2017. Schools are not eligible to apply for this funding.
The Department of Health is pleased to offer grants for substance use prevention education and activities. Community and faith-based organizations, schools, youth groups, parent groups and civic organizations are encouraged to apply for funding (PDF). Grants may be used for activities to raise awareness of alcohol and other drug use, sponsor trainings and education in the community and conduct prevention programs. The deadline for applications is December 16, 2016.
