The Medical Assistance Personal Care Program is designed for at-risk Medical Assistance recipients in need of assistance in performing their activities of daily living. Providing personal care services to those eligible individuals affords them the opportunity to remain in their home.
Services are provided in the recipients' homes by an approved Personal Care Provider under the supervision of a Registered Nurse Case Monitor.
Baltimore County residents with a chronic illness or disability, are under the care of a physician, and are unable to independently bathe, dress, toilet, feed, and ambulate may be eligible to receive assistance from this program. Individuals must have a current Medical Assistance (Medicaid) number.
The cost of these services is covered by the Maryland Medical Assistance Program.
