This manual was created by the Baltimore County Department of Health and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Assisted living facilities are responsible for developing, revising and updating their own facility-specific manual of policies and procedures. Care providers should carefully review all of the sample documents. Facilities can either use these documents or adapt them to meet their facility's needs.
