Inspection Program

Welcome

Welcome to this inspection reporting system. The Division of Medical Environmental Health performs dietary and environmental inspections of licensed or certified health care facilities. These establishments provide institutional care for “at risk” individuals who may be young, elderly, mentally or physically handicapped or infirmed. This population is more susceptible to foodborne illnesses and communicable diseases than the general public.

This web page has been expanded to include the posting of dietary and environmental inspection reports conducted by the Division of Medical Environmental Health for County regulated health care facilities. Unedited inspectional reports that are entered into the County database will be posted once a week.

Inspection reports represent “a snapshot” of the conditions observed only at the time of the inspection. One inspection report does not provide a comprehensive picture of how a facility operates on a day-to-day basis. Food handling practices and environmental conditions could be very different on any given day. Visitors to this site are encouraged to browse the available dietary and environmental inspection history of a facility.

It is extremely important to note that none of these inspection reports include information concerning nursing care issues.

In addition to dietary and environmental inspections, the health department provides educational and consultative activities to help facilities meet their compliance requirements. These services not only assist the representatives of health care facilities, but also, the “at risk” people that they serve.

Health Care Facilities - read about the different types of facilities that are inspected.
