If facilities do not submit the required plan of corrections, the inspecting sanitarian will contact the facility and request the plan or conduct a re-inspection.
Facilities that do not comply with federal, state or local regulations, are uncooperative, or who have a history of repeated deficiencies may be required to attend an administrative meeting to resolve issues with legal requirements.
Regulatory agencies have the authority to close facilities that have imminent public health risks that could cause a significant danger to the health and welfare of individuals under their care.
