In 2004, Baltimore County Food Regulations were updated to include requirements for the certification of food service managers.
After October 1, 2005, food establishments were required to have at least one employee that has been enrolled in an approved certified food service manager program or who has received a certified food manager identification card issued by the County.
After April 1, 2007, food establishments must operate under the direct supervision of a certified food manager whenever food is received, prepared and/or served.
