The CPP provides education and screening services for colon, breast, cervical, skin, oral, prostate and lung cancers for eligible Baltimore County residents. Diagnosis and treatment services may also be available. These cancers represent over 65 percent of new cancer cases in Maryland and were chosen due to their impact on mortality and the ability to prevent, detect and treat effectively.
All services are provided by private medical professionals in the Baltimore area and scheduled by the nurse case management staff once individuals are determined eligible for the program.
