This program is a joint venture of the Baltimore County Department of Health, Baltimore County Public Schools, Department of Social Services and other private agencies. The program's mission is to support families of children (from birth through 36 months of age) living in Baltimore County who have, or may have, developmental disabilities, delays or special health needs.
Staff meets with and assesses each child referred to the program. For each child who is eligible for the program, the staff, working with the family and the family's medical provider, develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). describing strengths and needs of the child and family and how best to meet those needs.
Based on the needs of the child and family, the program can provide the following services:
Assistive technology (equipment) Audiology (hearing services) Developmental monitoring Educational instruction Individual and family counseling Nursing

- Physical therapy
- Service coordination (case management)
- Social work
- Speech and language therapy
- Transportation

Services are provided in any setting where the child may live, learn, and play, such as the home, a child care setting, a public or private play center or an Infants and Toddlers site. |
This service is provided at no cost to Baltimore County residents.
