Maryland licensed and certified Audiologists provide comprehensive hearing testing to Baltimore County residents, from newborns through senior citizens on a sliding fee schedule according to income. Specialized testing, such as Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BSER), is available as are evaluations for hearing aids to include fitting and orientation.
Hearing Conservation services are provided to Baltimore County employees at risk for noise exposure.
Staff Audiologist provide hearing screenings and consultation upon request and work closely with the Baltimore County Department of Aging to conduct hearing screenings and inservices at Baltimore County Senior Centers. Audiologists also collaborate with the Baltimore County Fire Department, Baltimore County Public Schools, Baltimore County Infants and Toddlers Program and community residential programs for adult developmental delayed citizens for coordination of services.
Referrals are accepted from any source and citizens who are in the gray area income level or who have limited financial resources and cannot financially access services in the private sector, are welcomed. For children 0–3 years enrolled in the Baltimore County Infants and Toddlers Program, the services are at no cost to the family.
