Animal Services Advisory Commission

The purpose of the Animal Services Advisory Commission is to advise the County Council and the County Executive on issues pertaining to animal care and welfare, animal rescue and adoption, control of the animal population, animal bite prevention, zoonotic disease transmission, standards for animal shelters, training of personnel and volunteers, and any other issues related to the County's Animal Services division's duties, as described in Article 12 of the County Code. The Commission is established under Section 3-3-2401 of the County Code.
