Spay and Neuter Services Package

The new Southwest Area Park Spay and Neuter Facility in Brooklyn is now open.

Baltimore County Animal Services offers a reduced-cost spay and neuter program for County residents. Dogs and cats may be spayed or neutered, and receive other valuable services, for just $20.


Appointments are available at three locations:

  • Main Facility, 13800 Manor Road, Baldwin
  • Spay and Neuter Center, 7702 Dunmanway, Dundalk
  • Southwest Area Park Spay and Neuter Facility, 3941 Klunk Drive, Brooklyn

What's Included

The following services are also included in the $20 fee:

  • Rabies vaccine, as required by law
  • Other vaccines such as Distemper and Bordetella (dogs only)
  • Deworming
  • A County license
  • Microchip

Review the restrictions for spay and neuter services below before requesting an appointment.


Your dog should not:

  • Be a Boston Terrier, Chinese Pug, Lhasa Apso or short-faced breed
  • Have a known illness, injury, or medical condition
  • Be younger than four months or older than six years of age
  • Weigh less than five pounds or more than 60 pounds if female, or more than 80 pounds if male

Your cat should not:

  • Be hairless or Persian
  • Have a known illness, injury, or medical condition
  • Be younger than four months or older than six years of age
  • Weigh less than five pounds

Spay and Neuter Grant

Some Baltimore County residents are eligible for spay and neuter services at no cost.

  • Baldwin, Dundalk and Southwest Area Park locations: Free spay or neuter for low income clients with a 9-digit client ID. Cats and pit bulls only.
  • Dundalk: Free spay or neuter for cats and dogs in these ZIP codes 21219, 21220, 21221, 21222, 21224 and 21237.
  • Southwest Area Park: Free spay or neuter for cats and dogs in these ZIP codes: 21207, 21227 and 21244.

This free service also includes a microchip, rabies vaccine and a County license, as needed.

All other Baltimore County pet owners may participate in the standard $20 program by requesting an appointment using the form below.

Request an Appointment

Use this form to request an appointment at one of our facilities. Once your request is submitted and paid for, Animal Services will send an email confirmation. Please don't bring your pet to our facility without first having received confirmation of your appointment.

Staff will confirm the surgery date and provide important instructions through email only, so you must provide an email address that you check often.

Step 1: Determine if your pet is eligible.

Review the restrictions above before requesting an appointment. If your pet meets the criteria, continue to step 2.

This service is only available to Baltimore County residents.

Step 2: Select a location for your procedure.

Pet owners who meet certain qualifications may schedule a free appointment.

Step 3: Pay online.

After you request an appointment, you'll be automatically directed to complete your payment online. If you've already made an appointment but haven't yet paid, please pay now.

Your appointment isn't confirmed until the full $20 fee is paid. No payments will be collected on site.
