Station 58 - Back River Neck

History

Back River Neck Station #58 is a one-bay, semipermanent EMS station; there is no engine company.

The station was built to help meet an exceptional demand for emergency medical services. A housing boom, consisting mostly of multi-family units including condominiums, apartments and townhomes, required the services of an additional medic unit.

In 1996, Medic 58 made 1,716 runs. In 2005, Medic 58 made 2,031 runs, and in 2006 it made 2,114 runs.

Apparatus

 Medic 58 is a 2007 Freightliner M2 Wheeled Coach.
