Station 2 serves Pikesville and the surrounding communities in Baltimore County, Maryland. - 1921 – Operated 1915 American LaFrance out of 1212 Reisterstown Rd. The Pikesville volunteers operated out of same station, and the Pikesville Police Station shared the same building.
- The first crew assigned to Engine 2: Capt. Howard Bell, Lt. Frances Barnett, Pipeman Ireland Brantley, Pipeman Charles Debaugh, Pipeman Dilworth Watts.
- 1941- Placed the second Engine 2 in service, a 1941 Seagrave.
- 1950 – Engine 2 responded to more than 200 calls for the first time in station history.
 - 1956 – Placed the third Engine 2 in service, a 1956 American LaFrance.
- 1962 – The Pikesville Volunteer Fire Co. moved out of Station 2 and into its own station at 15 W. Sudbrook Lane. Engine 2 responded to more than 500 calls for the first time in station history.
- 1969 – Placed the fourth Engine 2 in service, a 1969 American LaFrance.
- 1976 – Engine 2 responded to more than 1,000 calls for the first time in station history.
- 1978 – Engine 2 involved in a serious accident; is refurbished and painted yellow -- the first piece of Equipment to be painted yellow when the Fire Department switched to that color in 1978.
- 1988 – Placed the fifth Engine 2 in service, 1988 Emergency One.
- 1996 – Placed Medic 2 in service on Oct. 1. Pikesville was the last station in the Department to add EMS service. Used a reserve medic until the new unit arrived. Engine 2 responded to more than 2,000 calls for the first time in station history.
- 1997 – Medic 2 responded to 2,566 calls in its first full year. The first Medic 2, a 1997 Ford F450, was placed in service March 1.
- 1999 – Moved from 1212 Reisterstown Rd. to 22 Walker Ave. after 78 years on Reisterstown Road.
- 2000 – Medic 2 responded to more than 3,000 calls.
- 2002 – Placed the sixth Engine 2 in service, a 2001 American LaFrance.
- 2003 – Engine 2 responded to 2,733 calls, an all-time station high. Medic 2 responded to more than 3,500 calls.
- 2005 – Place a new Medic 2 in service, a 2005 Freightliner Wheeled Coach.

Recent noteworthy incidents involving Station 2 include: - Feb. 7, 2003 -- 2-alarm apartment fire, 6932 Millbrook Park Dr. Engine 2 received a Unit Citation for work on this fire, which involved heavy smoke and high heat, especially in the basement storage area.
- Feb. 25, 2003 -- 3-alarm apartment fire, 4402 Old Court Rd.
- March 5, 2003 -- 3-alarm apartment fire, 5 Woodthorne Ct., Crews rescued six people from the burning building.
- March 6, 2003 -- Working apartment fire, 3908 Noyes Circle, Crews rescued several people; one person died.
- March 16, 2003 -- 4-alarm apartment fire, 7138 Rolling Bend Rd. Trapped victims jumped from windows. Engine 331's crew caught in a flashover Five civilians, two firefighters transported to hospital.
- June 23, 2003 -- 4-alarm fire, Simkins Industries paper mill fire.
- Dec. 8, 2003 -- Another apartment fire on Rolling Bend Road, this one a 2-alarm at 7113 Rolling Bend Rd.
- July 29, 2004 -- 2-alarm church fire, Deer Park United Methodist Church.
- April 27, 2005 -- Two multi-alarm fires in one day: a two-alarm dwelling firea t 2 Evan Way and a 3-alarm apartment fire at 6701 Maple Leaf Ct.
- May 4, 2005 -- Electrocution, 1935 Hillcrest Rd. A Baltimore County fire lieutenant was electrocuted on this call for a long fall involving a construction worker, who also was electrocuted. Both shocked back to life by a volunteer paramedic.
- May 14, 2005 -- Six-alarm warehouse fire, 3800 Washington Blvd.
- Aug. 25, 2005 -- 2-alarm dwelling fire, 137 Clarendon Ave., one fatality.
- Dec. 26, 2005 -- 4-alarm fire at senior assisted living complex, 300 Cantata Ct. Engine 2 responded on third alarm.
