Welcome to the Baltimore County Fire Rescue Academy, EMS home page. On this site you will find links to EMS training, as well as recertification information for members of the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Training Opportunity
Upcoming Training Opportunity: Class on Gang Violence: the Prevalence in our Area, to be held October 8, 2009, from 1700 - 1900, at the Civiletti Conference Center at GBMC. Guest Speaker will be Paul Ciepiela, Detective in BC Youth and Community Resource Section. RSVP to Stephanie Topscher, RN, BSN, CEN (GBMC Emergency Department) at 410-849-3938.

ALS Continuing Education 2009
The Fall 2009 ALS continuing education schedule is now available online.

ALS Bridge Program
The Baltimore County Fire Rescue Academy will be hosting a comprehensive EMT-B to EMT-P program, effective August 2009. Forms (pdf format) for the ALS Bridge Program are available on the ALS Bridge Program  page (available to members who attended the recent orientation sessions).

Mandatory Protocol Update Training
It is mandatory for all Maryland providers to complete 2009 protocol updates by July 1, 2009. The program may be completed online at the MIEMSS website.

Preceptor Program
All EMS preceptors are required to complete a Preceptor Productivity Report after each preceptor event. The report is now available as an online form. NOTE: This form is only for Baltimore County approved EMS preceptor use. Additionally, the ALS Competency Verification form (pdf) is now available for preceptor use.
