Directions to the Baltimore County Fire-Rescue Academy

The Baltimore County Fire-Rescue Academy is located at 1545 Sparrows Point Blvd., Sparrows Point, MD 21219. For assistance, call 410-887-7523.

From I-95 and points north:

Take I-95 to I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway) east toward Essex/Sparrows Point. Follow I-695 for about 12 miles to Exit 42 (North Point Boulevard.) Take North Point Boulevard towards Sparrows Point and follow for about two miles into the ISG property (formerly Bethlehem Steel). A large sign will say, "Private Property." North Point Boulevard will turn into Sparrows Point Boulevard on the ISG property; the FRA will be on the left. Turn left onto J.D. Mooney Way, and you are there. Park wherever available.

From I-97/I-695 and points west/south:

Take I-695 east toward Dundalk and follow over the Key Bridge to Exit 43, Bethlehem Boulevard/Sparrows Point. Take the ramp to the traffic light (Bethlehem Boulevard) and bear to the left on Bethlehem Boulevard. Follow about .5 to .75 miles to the exit sign for Route 151/Northpoint Boulevard South. Take the ramp onto Northpoint Boulevard and follow for about .5 miles onto the ISG property (formerly Bethlethem Steel), where the road will become Sparrows Point Boulevard. The academy will be on the left. Turn left onto J.D. Mooney Way, and you are there. Park wherever available.

From I-95 south (also an option for those coming from the west):

Take I-95 through the Fort McHenry Tunnel and follow I-95 for 8 to 10 miles to I-695 east toward Essex/Sparrows Point. Follow I-695 east for 12 to 15 miles to Exit 42 (Northpoint Boulevard/Sparrows Point). Follow Northpoint Boulevard for about two miles into the ISG property (formerly Bethlehem Steel). A large sign will say "Private Property." Northpoint Boulevard will turn into Sparrows Point Boulevard; the first building on the left at J.D. Mooney Way is the FRA. Park wherever available.
